Bold claim: a beloved La Crosse landmark eyes a new chapter as ownership changes hands. The Charmant Hotel, long a fixture of the city, is poised for a transition in ownership according to local records. The Weber Group is planning to sell the property, setting the stage for potential new stewardship.
A key piece of paperwork, the Certificate and Consent to Assign—an official agreement that confirms essential details and authorizes the transfer of contract rights from one party to another—will come under review by La Crosse’s Finance and Personnel Committee this Thursday.
Since its 2015 debut, the Charmant Hotel has stood out in the community, offering a restaurant and rooftop bar that have drawn both locals and visitors. In October, the hotel earned its second Michelin Key, a prestigious acknowledgement that spotlights excellence in design, location, and the overall guest experience.
Before any further steps can be taken, the resolution must receive approval from La Crosse’s Common Council.
